Love your baby bump!
As your body expands and baby grows, stop stressing over the number on the scale and enjoy the miracle your body is undertaking. I’m not suggesting indulging in a chocolate cake and ice cream every night, you still need to maintain a healthy diet and exercise plan (more on this later!), but you need to let go of the control that you have when it comes to your body. When you are pregnant, your body takes on a mind of its own and now that you are eating and exercising for two you have to ensure you get the right nutrients and not overdo your workouts.
My husband brought our camera out on the beach during our recent babymoon to the Bahamas and did a mini photo shoot with me. At 22 weeks, I felt thick and bloated, but during that hour of photos I felt beautiful. A feeling I think every pregnant woman should feel! Don’t hide your baby bump under layers of clothes (unless it’s winter and below zero temperatures) – get outside and show it off. Be proud of the level of health you’ve maintained through your pregnancy and fall in love with your baby bump and hot mama body!
It’s easy to lose your confidence as your pants stop fitting and you are out of breath after 1 flight of stairs. Keep moving, keep exercising and maintain a nutritious diet of fresh fruits and veggies with plenty of protein. Let yourself feel beautiful, whether it is from a photo shoot on the beach or your husband wrapping his hands around you telling you how sexy your pregnant body is.
Allow your mind to relax, knowing you are doing everything you can to set yourself, and your baby up for success with a healthy lifestyle throughout your pregnancy.
